Congratulations on reaching the American milestone of Medicare!
In helping thousands of people like you since 1987, we have come to understand the complexity and confusion that you now face in deciding on a plan that is best for you. In making this very important decision, you need good information and expert advice from a trustworthy source. We would be honored to have the opportunity to help you.
We have designed our website with helpful content as a starting point for you, and to simplify things as much as possible. In general terms, Medicare is the federal health benefits program for people age 65 or greater. There are 2 main ways to get Medicare coverage, including either 1) original Medicare or 2) a Medicare Advantage plan. If you choose option 1 (original Medicare), you then also have the choice of whether you want to enhance your Medicare coverage with a private Medicare supplement plan (also known as Medigap) and a Medicare Part D prescription drug plan. If instead of original Medicare you choose option 2 (a Medicare Advantage plan), that plan will be your exclusive health benefits plan, including drug coverage, through a private insurance company.
In the Prescott, Arizona area, there are 12 standardized Medicare supplement plans offered by nearly 70 insurance companies along with nearly 20 Medicare Part D prescription drug plans. There also are more than 40 Medicare Advantage plans. In total, you have hundreds of plans to choose from. It is a daunting task to say the least for most people to accurately figure out which plans are best for them. Fortunately, you are not alone in this endeavor and we are here to help you. We are experienced, independent and professional insurance advisers. Our insurance agency has been serving people like you in the Prescott area since 1987. Every year, we carefully review all of the available plans and narrow the options down from hundreds to no more than 25 or so that will work best for you depending on your specific circumstances.
